Peter Moody has been in the headlines as part of an ongoing cobalt investigation of his galloper Lidari, but even though he is away on holiday he was in the spotlight at Moonee Valley on Saturday with another horse,  Noela’s Choice, who was scratched by order of the stewards  just before she was due to run in the opening event.

The four-year-old mare had been favourite for the Friends of Epworth Handicap  but could not take her place in the field after Racing Victoria stewards received a report from its Compliance Assurance Team after they had seen her with what chief steward Terry Bailey said was a “white residue” around her mouth.
