Legendary race horse Bonecrusher dies

Bonecrusher raced into “equine immortality” winning the iconic 1986 Cox Plate against fellow Kiwi Our Waverley Star, racing editor Patrick Bartley reports.

Despite a highly decorated career New Zealand’s flagship racehorse of the 1980s, Bonecrusher, which has died at the age of 32, will be best remembered for his heartstopping victory in the 1986 Cox Plate.
