Godolphin trainer John O’Shea will trial Royal Ascot-nominated Holler at Randwick on Monday as part of the decision process whether to head to England. The Commands colt beat Encosta Line and Fireworks on debut and was considered the ideal horse for the Commonwealth Cup during the Royal meeting by the Australian operation. “He is your quintessential Australian horse and has strong Australian pedigree,” O’Shea said. “He is 550kg and with the weight advantage he would get in that race it was worth throwing in an entry.” Holler was down to trial on the Pro-ride surface at Warwick Farm, but O’Shea wants to see him on the grass at Randwick and then in at least one run in Sydney. “We will let him show us if he is up to a trip like that because it is a big commitment for a two-year-old,” O’Shea said.
