The unbeaten daughter of Fastnet Rock bumped her off-fore leg a couple of weeks ago and a lesion has formed on the leg resulting in trainer Mark Kavanagh aborting the spring preparation.
“Kav is really cut about it,” co-owner Laurie Macri told Fairfax. “It is a disaster in terms of the spring, but with time she will race again.
“It looks like a minimum of three months in the paddock.
Atlantic Jewel is owned in partnership by Coolmore and has won all seven of her starts, including the Thousand Guineas and All-Aged Stakes.

Mark Kavanagh confident Atlantic Jewel will race again: “It may be the end of the spring but it’s not the end of the horse.”
