The Baillieu Government is in talks with management of the mighty mare about throwing a welcome home party through city streets.
The event could be staged in as little as two weeks once Black Caviar, who landed back in Melbourne today, clears quarantine.

A spokesman for Racing Minister Denis Napthine said the parade or other public event was “definitely on the cards”.
“We’d love to do something but we’ve got to make sure it’s good for the wellbeing of the horse.’’
The unbeaten superstar landed back in Melbourne this morning after her thrilling win in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot.
She touched down at Melbourne Airport at about 4am with Italian import Voila Ici after a long journey from London’s Heathrow Airport.

Trainer Peter Moody tweeted “Black Caviar & Voila Ici’s flight to Australia was unfortunately delayed by 24 hours so all going well they will be en route this evening”.
Black Caviar sustained muscle tears and severe bruising during her narrow victory at Royal Ascot. She is unbeaten in 22 career starts.
