Jewelled Crown emerged as a filly with great staying upside when she powered to the line to win the Aqua D’Amore Handicap (1600m) at Randwick today.Purchased and trained by the Cups king Bart Cummings, Jewelled Crown showed she was destined for a bright future over longer distances with an impressive performance.Ridden off the speed by talented apprentice Brenton Avdulla, Jewelled Crown shot to the front about a furlong from home and then easily held out Sikka and Money Rocks. The lightly raced three-year-old relished the step up to a mile today and should be further suited as the distances increase into the future as she continues to mature.
